Mariachi & Boleros

Classical Guitar or Vihuela. With a focus on rhythms and progressions with chords outside of the major scale.

Basic Theory

What are scales? What are chords? What are the sheets of paper that musicians use? This lesson explains all of that without the need for an instrument.

Norteño

Bajoquinto (10 strings) or Bajosexto (12 strings). With a focus on improvisation, chords, and patterns recognizable in Mexican Norteño or Texano music.

Sierreño

Steel String Guitar, either 12 or 6 string. With focus on scales for riffs/requintos, improvisation, and chord progressions.
